I've spent the last five years working with AI and understanding how it can genuinely help businesses — long before most people were paying attention to it. Working as an independent AI consultant for small and medium businesses across the UK is the natural result of that: taking what I've learned and applying it to the specific reality of how UK businesses actually operate. Before that, I ran businesses myself. I know the difference between a useful AI conversation and a slide deck full of promises that go nowhere.
Most of the businesses I speak with know AI is relevant. What they can't answer is where it applies to them specifically, or whether the cost is worth it. That's the gap Bearing AI exists to close. We start with a thorough AI Business Review — no assumptions, no predetermined answers — and give you a clear written assessment of where AI can make a genuine difference. From there, we help you implement it and keep it working as your business evolves.
I'm based in North Yorkshire and work with businesses across the UK, in person or by video. I also advise on AI policy compliance — EU AI Act obligations come into force for UK businesses trading with EU customers in August 2026, and most aren't ready.
